Mountain Warehouse Softshell Kids Waterproof Walking Boots Review
Our family has been enjoying outdoorsy adventures for quite some time now and, with three growing children, I have bought quite a few pairs of children’s hiking shoes and hiking boots by now. The kids use their hiking boots a lot, all through the year, so they get plenty of wear before they’re outgrown or outworn.
We have tried different shops, various brands, and many styles of walking boots for the kids and one type that we keep coming back to is the Mountain Warehouse Softshell Kids Waterproof Walking Boots. We’re on our third pair of these for our eldest daughter and think we’ll keep buying them for as long as the right sizes are available.

The Mountain Warehouse Softshell Kids Waterproof Walking Boots are made from a durable synthetic upper with a breathable mesh lining. They have excellent, high-traction soles for grip and stability for walking, hiking, climbing, and playing.
The boots have a water-resistant upper and waterproof membrane. The waterproof qualities last well for these boots with regular application of Fabsil after cleaning the boots. These boots are quick and easy to clean after muddy walks which is another plus!
These boots provide great support and are very comfortable to wear according to my daughter. This is the main reason why we keep coming back to them – comfort is so important. These boots are sturdy, yet lightweight and flexible, and have midsoles with cushioning foam.
Another thing that we love about these boots is that they have laces but with a pull cord at the top so you don’t need to tie any laces which saves time and hassle.
We also like that these boots don’t have any hooked eyelets (speed hooks) as we’ve had some bad experiences with these on kids’ hiking boots, with the lace from the opposite shoe getting stuck and tangled somehow and making children trip over. While the kids are young, I always look for hiking boots without hooked eyelets for this reason.
