28 Winter Wellbeing Activities

28 Winter Wellbeing Activities | AD
This winter, Thrive are supporting health and wellbeing with a 28-day calendar of activities for people to do this winter. The calendar is full of excellent ideas for enjoying the season. It’s packed with tips for getting outdoors to enjoy some daylight, fresh air, and a healthy dose of Vitamin D.
Thrive is passionate about the health and wellbeing benefits of gardening and time spent in nature. They know how challenging it can be for many people to get outdoors during the dark and cold winter season. This, in turn, can have a negative effect on people’s mental health and wellbeing. To help, they created this calendar of activities to join in with. The aim is to support and encourage people to go out in nature throughout winter.

It’s a great tool to use if you need some inspiration, a challenge, or are just looking for a bit of variety. You can start your 28 days at any date that suits you. Or, if you want to, you can simply choose activities that you want to do – there’s no pressure to do them all, of course.
The activities are suitable for anyone, no matter what garden space you have (or without a garden at all) or level of gardening skill. There is a mix of practical, passive, active and creative activities. Some can be done indoors, others outdoors and most of the activities need little to no equipment. You can find more details about the calendar and the different activities on the Thrive website here.
By the end of 28 days, or however many days you choose to do, you will most likely have increased your time with nature and can feel and appreciate the benefits of spending more time outdoors.
Collaboration.
