Rex London Portable Suitcase BBQ Review – A Practical BBQ | AD

We’ve been camping for a few years now. We usually take our camping stove and use that for cooking simple meals which works well. However, after a fun stay at a BBQ hut in Masham last year, we realised just how much the kids love having a barbecue. – and so do my husband and I! This made us start thinking about getting a BBQ. Specifically we were looking for a portable BBQ to take with us when we go camping. We have now found the perfect one for our needs – the Rex London Portable Suitcase BBQ.

It’s a suitcase BBQ which means that it cleverly folds up into a compact case shape, complete with a carry handle. This makes the BBQ easy to transport. The folded up size is approximately 30cm × 7.5cm × 23cm which is so compact and practical. The legs are very sturdy and fold away neatly too.

The cooking area measures approximately 25cm x 17cm. This is a large enough for a bunch of sausages, a full pack of halloumi sliced up, two large burgers or four regular sized burgers, for example.

The Rex London Portable Suitcase BBQ features a charcoal tray with ventilation holes to help distribute the heat evenly. This tray and the grill can be removed for cleaning. The grill has two height settings. Choose between having it closer to the coals for more intense heat or lift it up to slow down the cooking speed.

Using the Suitcase BBQ

To have a BBQ, you need the usual essentials: Barbeque Briquettes, Natural Firelighters, and matches (extra long matches are great for BBQs). Of course, you also need whatever food you want to barbecue! So far, we have cooked some of our BBQ family favourites – halloumi (for halloumi burgers), beef burgers with cheese, and hotdogs! All of these cooked very nicely on our new little BBQ.

Food to barbeque camping

Before you start grilling, fold out the suitcase BBQ and set it up on a suitable flat surface. Make sure this area is away from anything that might set on fire. Naturally, keep children and pets away from the BBQ too.

BBQ Colour Options

My favourite colour is orange so the Burnt Orange option was perfect for us. This suitcase BBQ from Rex London is also available in the following colours: Spirit of Adventure (Teal), Pistachio (Minty Green), and Khaki Green. Get yours from Rex London and be ready for lots of BBQ adventures this spring and summer!
