  • Adventure makes your life feels more fulfilling.

A life full of exciting plans and fun activities feels more fulfilling. Adventurous people tend to feel more satisfied with their life as they are actively making plans to ensure that they get to do the things they love on a regular basis. It makes complete sense! Of course, your favourite thing to do might be something calm at home but getting out and about adds another breath of life and physically challenging activities make you feel more alive. Even activities that are very difficult and challenging brings feelings of happiness and accomplishment as you complete the challenges.

Making the plans is part of it all too – when you are making plans for future trips and adventures, you are making sure that you are living the life that you want to live and doing things that you love. Keep trying new things that you want to do, keep visiting new places, and keep conquering challenges, big and small, for a life that is exciting and more fulfilling.

  • Adventure makes you stronger and smarter.

Adventure means different things to different people – for some, it’s travelling far and wide with just a backpack on their back for months at a time or doing extreme sports while for others it’s getting out in nature and exploring more local areas – and everything in between. For some people it’s the physical aspect of challenges while for others it’s more about problem solving or doing things they’ve never done before. You know best what makes you happy and what you find exciting! Do more of whatever that is to become happier, develop your skills, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Going on physically challenging adventures like long distance hikes, will make your body stronger but adventures are also great for your brain health as when you’re learning new things your brain creates new synapses and makes existing ones stronger too.

During your adventures, you will most likely also enjoy a sense of well-being while in the zone as you are purely focusing on the tasks you are currently doing. You can leave your worries behind and enjoy the moment and the activities. This is one of the things that I love the most about being out doing things in nature. I feel focused and happier and these feelings last a long time afterwards too.

  • Adventure grows your confidence.

As you are trying new things and learning new skills, your confidence grows. An adventurous life usually involves trying new activities and going to new places and every time you do something that you’ve never done before, you will feel a sense of accomplishment and be proud of yourself for what you have achieved. You will feel more confident which will help you take on more challenges and be braver in other areas of life too. Keep pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and you’ll feel your confidence grow. You will also get better at dealing with unfamiliar situations and environments and adapt well to these which is a very useful life skill.

Conclusion

Living a more adventurous life is rewarding in many ways. It makes you feel good in all stages – while planning adventures, during them and afterwards too. Most of all, it makes life more fun and fulfilling which is definitely one of my goals! I’m also actively aiming to create a love of adventure in my kids.
